Jungle Theater

Creating Powerful and Poetic Theater

A neighborhood theatre with national impact sparking meaningful dialogue with audiences through compelling stories, masterful acting and exquisite design

Live theatre provides a safe space to contemplate and discuss tough or controversial issues. It opens minds and highlights human frailties, as well as shared commonalities.  This is why the Olseth Family Foundation has continued to provide financial support for the Jungle Theater throughout the pandemic. We believe regional theatre will heal our communities as we emerge from this global pandemic. The Jungle’s mission remains steadfast, “to create powerful and poetic theater in the intimate Jungle home, which is deeply rooted in Minneapolis’ Lyn-Lake neighborhood” .

In addition, we are excited to support Christina Baldwin in her recent appointment as Artistic Director. Baldwin has served as Interim Artistic Director since May 2020, following the departure of Sarah Rasmussen to the McCarter Theatre Center. We anticipate talented local actors will once again be gracing the stage, continuing the long-established tradition of performing thought provoking scripts.
